Number Lines are Awesome!

This week we made our own personalised blank number lines. Jordana and Luke soon got to grips about with why blank number lines are so amazing and such a resource no matter what stage of maths you're at. When the number line is blank, we can label it to suit our learning. Maybe 1-10, 1-100, -5 to 5, 0 to 1. All numbers no matter how big or small are part of a number line.

Today in Toutouwai we took on some of the #Get writing NZ Challenges. How many children in our class do you think can..... cross their eyes?.... wiggle their ears?..... roll their tongue??? and LICK THEIR ELBOWS?? Lots of giggles and lots of fun!

Place Value Ice Creams

Today Chloe, Payton, Nevaeh and Kelly worked together to match all the Place Value Ice Creams. They worked so well together finding all of the matching cones and ice creams.

We are learning the making 10 strategy to solve addition problems in Maths

We have an abundance of acorns in our classroom at the moment so we used them on some hand drawn tens frames to help solve addition problems using the Making 10 strategy. It was lots of fun!
